It’s always nice to see decks outside the current meta do well in tournament play, It keeps the game fresh and opponents on their toes. John Torrez was able to make an impressive run of 12 – 3 with his alternate win condition deck “The End” at GP Vancouver Day 1. The End focused around the card pictured above, Maze’s End which allows players to put gate lands onto the battlefield. When the player obtains 10 or more gates, He wins. Torrez goes into detail informing that the decks weakness lies in mono red burn , but that he is happy with how the deck is doing against the current meta.
